My Blog has a feed that will allow you to keep on top of my 10 most recent posts. I tend to blog about new pictures, trips and generally what I've been up to.

Flickr Photos (more info)

Flickr is what I use to host my photos online. This feed provides my 20 most recent photos with links to my online albums. You can check out my profile or see my favorites, too. Feel free to sign up (for free) and check it out!

Google Calendar - (more info)

Google Calendar is how I keep track of where and when to be someplace. It's awesome, but still a 'beta', which means you need to ask Google for an invitation. This is my publicly available feed for my own calendar, but I am using a second calendar () to keep track of my marathon training.

Pandora - (more info)

Pandora is an online jukebox/customizable radio service. It allows you to bookmark your favorite songs, artists and lists your radio stations. Check out what I've been listening to and what kind of music I enjoy.

Google Videos - (more info)

I have uploaded a few videos onto Google's Video Service and plan to continue adding more content in the future. You can search for my videos, which are filed under Patrick M. Moore genre:Travel.

Excuse of the Day - (more info)

Author, CSS Guru and W3C member, Eric Meyer, has a feed that offers a unifying service for Nerds, known as the "Excuse of the Day". This feed will keep everybody on the same page so that we nerds may speak with one voice about the last 10 things to cause technical delays.

Operating Status of the Federal Government - (more info)

OPM keeps an up-to-the-minute-current status of operations affecting DC's largest employer: Uncle Sam. Usually, this information affects everybody in/around DC -- regardless of your employer.

How do I keep up with you?

First, I am more nerdy than cool, which makes keeping current a pretty easy task. There are only 3 simple steps for finding out what I'm up to, where I am and what's coming next:

1. Choose an RSS Reader and get to know how it works. I like using Personalized Google, but there are lots of sites/programs available for free use/download. See the list above for the most common RSS Readers/News Aggregators.
2. Add whichever feeds you like to your Reader-of-Choice to see everything that's available. If your reader is not included above, copy the URL of the Direct Feeds into your Reader's subscribe location.
3. Check your reader every few days for new blog posts or new pictures.

Finally, feel free to comment on the photos or posts whenever you like.

How can I make my own stuff, too?

It's easy! Ok, well it's not meant to be difficult:

1. Use an online blog community - there are lots of blogging sites out there (Blogger, LiveJournal, Xanga, etc.) or host your own
2. Try uploading your digital pictures to Flickr or see the help section.
3. Send me your links and I'll give you some publicity.

I've been happy using the various photo and blogging tools available for free, but I'm always looking for new ideas. As always, drop me an email if you'd like more information about my recommendations or would like additional help setting up your own online presence.
